Eligible
- Accredited colleges and universities (.edu domain)
- Registered 501(c)(3) or equivalent nonprofits
- MLH member or MLH-affiliated hackathons
- Devpost-listed public hackathons
- Developer community organizations (meetups, bootcamps, coding clubs)
- Open-source foundations
- Government-backed startup or incubator programs
Not eligible
- For-profit corporate hackathons
- Internal company events
- Paid-entry events over $50/person
- Events without a public event page
- Individuals requesting personal licenses
- Reselling or redistributing licenses
- Events that have already concluded
Application verification process

- Nonprofits: 501(c)(3) or equivalent via GuideStar, IRS, or national registry
- MLH/Devpost: cross-reference on MLH season page or Devpost listings
- Communities: verifiable online presence (GitHub org, Meetup, Discord/Slack)

- Public event page with date, location, and organizer info
- Event must be upcoming (no retroactive sponsorships)
- Free or under $50/person to attend

- After event: organizers send winning team names + emails

License terms for winners
- One Business Pro license per winner
- Covers up to 25,000 MAUs
- No expiration within the 25,000 MAU tier
- Seamless upgrade to paid plan if you grow beyond 25,000 MAUs
- Non-transferable
- Must activate within 30 days of provisioning email
Organizer obligations
- Submit post-event recap within 7 days
- Failure may affect future eligibility
- May not charge winners for the license
MojoAuth obligations
- Respond within 48 business hours
- Provision licenses within 3 business days
- Provide logo kit, guide, and challenge prompt
- Maintain 99.9% uptime SLA for all Hack Pass licenses
